Beautiful native bush, waterfalls & wildlife. Te Puna o Riuwaka is of cultural significance to the people of Te Atiawa and Ngati Rarua, who recognise it as wahi tapu (a sacred place).
At the southern foot of the Takaka Hill the road veers left just before the temporary traffic control lights North of Riwaka.
